About See the Weather
Last updated Nov 1, 2026
Why we built it
Everyone already has a weather app. It tells you it's 28° with a chance of showers, but not what that actually looks like: a bright sky with one passing cloud, or a grey day of drizzle. When you're about to fly somewhere, that difference matters. See the Weather lets you see the sky where you're going before you book or pack.
What you'll find for each place
- A camera view of the sky, with the date and local time on screen.
- Current conditions, an hour-by-hour rain chance and a 16-day forecast.
- The weather of the past seven days.
- Monthly averages for temperature, rain and cloud, sea temperature for coastal places, and the best months to visit.
- How the weather differs between places in the same region.
Camera views, honestly labelled
Where a camera owner has connected a real camera, you see that camera. Where no camera is connected yet, the view shows reference footage matched to the conditions reported at that place right now. Reference footage is never labelled live.
Where the numbers come from
Forecasts and recent weather come from Open-Meteo, monthly climate averages from NASA POWER, sea temperatures from Open-Meteo Marine, and place names from GeoNames. Our best-time-to-visit ratings are calculated from those averages with a published method. See data sources and method.
